EHHHH! YOOOO! TIM!
Its me again! and I know I should have upload this last week but...ehm...I forgot about it ?
Anyway! back to my amazing summer vacation, after Cambridge, I went to DUBLIN for plane transfer, didn't walk out the airport, but the airport itself is full of Irish vibe, shamrock everywhere, then is the color green, and the elf with his gold. After a few hours of sitting there, having lovely chat with my gf through internet, I finally got onto the plane, surprisingly the plane is pretty small, and didn't come with any entertainment, like TV or something...so all we can do is sleep for
eight...EIGHT!!!! hours, which is a nightmare, because plane is definitely not a place for sleeping, 3 hours, that is how many hours I slept, and for the rest of the time, I was trying so hard to fall into my lovely dreams again, but than the plane shakes a bit, and my head was rapidly bumped on to the wall. Long story short, I arrived at Washington D.C airport, and there is where I will stay for 3 weeks. Although its not my first time living there, but I still find it fresh and new. we rent a car and drove to the place that we are staying in, SLIVER SPRING!!!!!! I miss that place so much, it has been a couple years since last time I stayed there, and I still remember the roads, the playground, the houses on the hill, its remain the same as the last time I saw it. For the first week, it was mostly pick up memories from before, additionally we did went to one language learning center, but the class is going to start a bit late, so I didn't sign up for it, instead I went to a place called English Now, where I met a lot of friends from all over the world, and the class itself is fun, get a tones of activities to do, and also visited the national mall, which is remarkable, BTW metro is really convenient there, I can go to a lot of places on my own, I dunno, I just missed that place so much!!!
William,
ReplyDeleteCambridge? Washington D.C., and Silver Springs, with a stopover in Dublin? That is a summer to be cherished. How does it feel to be back in Taiwan? I remember the first time I visited Taiwan, and it was a bit of a culture shock. Getting off the plane, everyone looked so ASIAN, and all the signs were in Chinese. But that only lasted for a few minutes. As soon as I received a warm welcome at the airport, and realized the everyone was so friendly, it wasn't strange any more.
Tim
To be honest, i don't want to go back here, I came up with ideas like hiddding in the closet or something so i could stay there!!! i love the weather in San Jose, and i can swim everyday since the pool is right next to where i stay. But i still miss here tho.
